Purpose of Processing

  • The provision of medical diagnosis to patients with scoliosis through the use of the "Scoliosense" application
  • To conduct scientific research on the proper use and application of the support brace for the treatment of scoliosis through medical tests.
  • The statistical analysis of this.

Legal basis

Your explicit consent (Article 9 (2a) GDPR).

When the provision of a medical diagnosis concerns a minor patient, the express consent shall be given by the holders of parental care.

The processing is necessary for preventive or occupational medicine purposes (Article 9 (2) GDPR).

The processing is necessary for archiving purposes in the public interest, for scientific or historical research purposes or for statistical purposes (Article 9 (2) GDPR).

Personal Data Collected

  • Name
  • Surname
  • Sex
  • Address – Location
  • Username (if identifiable).
  • E-mail (In case this is identifiable personal data).
  • Health data, such as type of scoliosis, Cobb angles, weight, height, date of birth, gender, sensor values.
  • User’s mobile phone number or, in the case of a minor, the mobile phone number of the person holding his/her parental care.

Recipients

The personal data of the subjects shall not be transferred to third parties, other than the medical team of the controller, nor to a third country or international organisation.

Storage period

Personal data (common or special category) is retained for as long as necessary for monitoring by the clinician and in any case for the entire period that the subject uses the application as well as for 30 days after its deactivation.

Non-identifiable statistical data shall be retained for 20 years from collection.
